The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released a notification on its official website for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on 02, 03, and 04 July 2026. The UPTET application form started on 27 March 2026, and candidates can apply until 26 April 2026.

UPESSC provides age relaxation for the UP TET position as per its rules.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from an NCTE-recognized institution along with a valid teacher training qualification such as BTC, B.El.Ed, or equivalent. Final-year candidates are also eligible. Generally, a minimum of 50% marks in graduation or the relevant training program is required.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% in some cases as per rules) from an NCTE-recognized institution along with a valid teacher training qualification such as B.Ed, BTC, B.El.Ed, or equivalent. Final-year candidates of these courses are also eligible. In addition, candidates with specialized education qualifications (such as Special Education) from RCI-recognized institutes are also eligible. In some cases, candidates with 50% marks in intermediate along with a 4-year integrated teaching program can also apply.
